The state government has asked private schools to resolve the fee issue cooperatively with parents
Schools in Uttarakhand can charge full fees from students of classes X and XII, the state education minister R Meenakshi Sundaram said on January 15.
Sundaram said schools must charge fees only from students of classes X and XII, as physical classes were resumed for them from November 2, 2020. He added the schools can take full fees only for the period starting from November 2. And only tuition fees can be charged for the period where online classes were prominent before November 2.
The government has asked private schools to resolve the fee issue cooperatively. Many parents are unable to clear the fees due to the financial crunch in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
Sundaram further stated that strict action will be taken if students from other classes are charged fees.
