No hands-on tests and experiments because of pandemic
Delhi University students in the second or third year of graduation are finding it difficult to cope with their practical papers this year since no actual practical experiments are being conducted or taught. Instead, students are submitting written answers to questions for internals and exams.
Students are concerned that not learning anything “practically” might not be fruitful for their future. Practical exams are conducted on 50 marks and marked equally by internal and external examiners. This year, students have been asked to sit for a 75-mark open-book exam.
Teachers said websites and online videos are being used to help students understand the practical work.
