Online classes to continue
Secondary and higher secondary educational institutions in Bangladesh will remain closed till May 29.
The government has extended the closure in view of the COVID-19 situation in the country, the Bangladesh education ministry has said in a statement on May 15.
The closure was earlier extended in phases till May 22. The latest decision has been taken considering the safety of the students, staff, parents and teachers.
Schools and colleges have been instructed to continue online academic activities on schedule. The first closure of educational institutions in the country was announced on March 16 in an attempt to check the spread of COVID-19.
