Several schools prepone summer vacations
Schools in government-controlled parts of Syria have started taking final exams from April 25.
The exams are being conducted nearly a month before schedule. Many schools have also preponed summer vacations due to a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases.
Around 1.5 million students from fifth grade to high school went to 10,550 schools to appear in the annual exams following all protocols to prevent the spread of the virus.
The country’s ministry of education said that over the past two days all schools were sanitised to prepare for the exams in government-held areas.
