The introduction of the new routes for visa application will benefit the students and it will also ensure that the country retains the “brightest and the best students” who can contribute after completion of their studies.
New routes for international students, including the latest points-based immigration system to apply for visas, have been recently announced by the UK government. The latest process of visa application will be open from October, which was previously expected to be introduced from January 2021.
According to the statement released by the UK government, the introduction of the new routes for visa application will benefit the students and it will also ensure that the country retains the “brightest and the best students” who can contribute after completion of their studies.
“It offers greater flexibility and ease of immigration for applicants, and with the post-study work benefits of the graduate immigration route and the launch of the student route, the UK has further solidified its commitment towards international students, and enabling more than ever, their dreams of pursuing a world-class education,” said the director of British Council in India, Barbara Wickham.
Students have to demonstrate, under the latest rule, that they can afford their studies and accommodation and that they can speak English.
The country’s government clarified that there will be no restrain on the number of international students taking admission to universities in the UK.
